Canine Communication & Social Behavior

As Pet dog owners it is really important that we can understand our dogs communication system.
We need to know when they are  feeling stressed or uneasy as well as being able to see when they are happy and keen to interact with us. Dog have a highly evolved communication system, much of it is very subtle. Understanding what your dog is saying will enhance the quality of life you share with your dog.

What is My Dog Saying?

I have personally watched both of these presentations and they are excellent. I highly recommend them to any pet dog owner and pet dog professional - Niki Tudge PPG Founder.

They are developed by Carol Byrnes one of our very own Pet Professional Guild Members. A fabulous resource and a must watch. They feature video clips and over 100 slides.

What is My Dog Saying?

Power Point presentation, now on CD!

Do you want to learn more about what dogs are saying to each other, to other animals, and to you? Would you like to better understand how your body language affects your communication with your dog?

Are you a dog class instructor who wishes you had something you could show your classes to help your students better understand their dogs?

Are you a dog training school owner, day care provider or shelter director who would like to give your staff the tools they need to better read and understand the animals in your care - and stay safer on the job?

What is My Dog Saying at the Dog Park?
Power Point presentation, now on CD!

Have you considered taking your dog to a dog park, but aren't sure if you should? Do you want to learn more about reading dog body language and what good play and bad play looks like, so you can keep your dog safe when playing with other dogs?

Are you a dog class instructor, dog day care or boarding kennel owner who would like a ready-made presentation for staff and clients on dog-to-dog play and dog park safety?

Would you like to offer a safety and etiquette class to your community to give them the tools they need to better read and understand their dogs - and keep everyone safer?

Not every dog is, or should be, a "dog park dog"! The safety and enjoyment of dog parks depends on one thing- dog owner education. This presentation will help teach dog owners watching off-leash play how to recognize red flags and when to step in and help their dog out of a risky situation.
