Your Webinar Session

1. On the day of your webinar, 20 minutes prior to the official start time, the host (a PPG team member) and the presenter (you) will log in to the webinar software to make sure everything is working properly. You will access the webinar platform using a unique link emailed to you.

2. Five minutes before the start time, the host will have you share your screen. Your PowerPoint presentation will then be viewable to the audience.

3. At the start time, the host will start the live webinar and begin recording. All webinars are recorded so those who register but are unable to attend live can view the webinar afterward.

4. The host will introduce you and your webinar topic, and explain the house rules, the CEU process and how questions and answers will be handled.

5. During your presentation, the host will moderate the chat room for questions and assist with any technical issues that arise.

6. At the end of your presentation, the host will facilitate a 15-minute Q&A session.

At PPG, we believe that competency in our profession is mission critical. Because education is central to that mission, we provide webinars to our members to enhance their knowledge and skills, and also allow them to earn the needed continued education for their professional credentials.

To promote access to this vital source of virtual education, PPG offers its members a minimum of one FREE webinar every month, as well as live and recorded webinars that can be purchased at a discount. Live webinars are typically scheduled at least four weeks in advance and are promoted via the PPG website and on social media.

What Is a Webinar?

A webinar is a 45- to 90-minute live PowerPoint (or equivalent) presentation followed by a 15-minute question and answer session delivered via the web. In a “simulated live” webinar, the presentation is pre-recorded and the presenter available live during the 15-minute question and answer session after the recording plays.

To present a live webinar for PPG’s membership, the educational content of your webinar must be in line with PPG’s Guiding Principles.

Giving a PPG Webinar

1. Webinars are held using PPG’s webinar software.

2. Presenters will need the following equipment:

  • A computer with speakers and a microphone (if using VoIP, you must use a headset and microphone to ensure good audio quality)
  • A quiet location
  • PowerPoint (or equivalent) presentation software
  • High-speed internet access

3. Presenters may request a 30-minute practice session within seven days of their scheduled webinar. Please schedule this session at least 14 days before the live webinar webinar to allow for planning time.

4. All webinars are recorded and may be made available to our members later.

5. Webinar recordings remain available for viewing after the initial live session.

6. PPG has the right to control the content of the webinar event listings to effectively market the webinars.

7. PPG reserves the right to cancel, postpone, delay or reschedule any webinar for any reason at our sole discretion.

8. Presenters retain the intellectual rights to their webinar property, with PPG granted permission to use the webinars as stated above.

9. PPG will host your recorded webinar for as long as it is deemed relevant to the membership and/or continues to be purchased by members

Webinar Commissions

  • PPG webinars are priced between $15.00 and $35.00. Webinars that are free for PPG members may charge a nominal fee for non-members.
  • Webinar presenters will be compensated 40% of net sales from the live webinar sessions.
  • Guild live workshops that are recorded and later run as simulated live webinars with the presenter in attendance for a live Q&A session are commissioned at 20% of net sales.
  • Event attendance can vary greatly because of content, interest level, the reputation of the presenter, technical issues, force majeure and other circumstances. Because of this, PPG cannot guarantee, assure, or promise any compensation to presenters for any webinar event.

Invoicing and Payment

  • After your webinar, you will be notified by the Events Manager via email how much commission your webinar has generated.
  • Please send an invoice for this amount to the Pet Professional Guild at this email address: [email protected].
  • Webinar commissions are paid via PayPal Business, Venmo or Zelle. Please include your preferred payment service and the email address you use for that service on your invoice.
  • If you are in the United States, please attach a completed W9 form to your invoice email. Commissions can only be paid to U.S. presenters when PPG is in receipt of a W9 form.
