Your Webinar Description:
Dogs don’t learn or cope in isolation—and neither do the people working with them. This webinar introduces dog trainers and rescue workers to practical Tellington TTouch® tools that help build safer, more trusting relationships between dogs and their humans. Rather than focusing on “fixing” behavior, TTouch supports the nervous system, helping both dogs and people feel more regulated, grounded, and able to cooperate—so training becomes easier and connection grows.
You’ll explore gentle, easy-to-apply techniques that can be integrated into training plans, shelter and foster routines, and client support. These tools can help with common challenges like touch sensitivity, fear, reactivity, leash frustration, and overwhelm during handling or transitions. By supporting self-regulation on both ends of the leash, trainers and rescue professionals can improve outcomes for dogs—and empower clients with practical, relationship-based skills that can truly last.
Learning Objectives:
- A relationship-first approach using TTouch® to create calmer behavior, safer handling, and more resilient dog-human teams.
- Why “behavior” often improves when the nervous system feels safe and supported
- Practical tools for handling challenges (touch sensitivity, gear issues, restraint stress)
- Simple, practical TTouch tools to help reduce stress and build confidence
- How to support self-regulation in dogs and humans during challenging moments
- Body awareness + gentle handling strategies that improve cooperation without force
- Tools that can help with sensitivity, fear, shutdown, and over-arousal
- Easy ways to integrate TTouch into training plans, rescue routines, and adoption support
