Lara Joseph
Professional Animal Behavior Consultant and Trainer
Lara is the owner of The Animal Behavior Center, an international educational center that teaches people how to understand behavior through training animals using the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis. She is a professional animal behavior consultant and trainer focusing on exotic animals.
Lara travels internationally, giving workshops, lectures, and providing online, live-streaming learning programs on behavior, training, and enrichment. She sits on the advisory board for All Species Consulting, the Indonesian Parrot Project. She is a professional member of IAATE and ZAA. She is also a guest lecturer in the course Zoo Biology; Behavior & Diagnostics taught by Dr. Jason Crean at St. Xavier University; Chicago.
Lara has presented for a wide variety of organizations including the Philadelphia Zoo, the Ohio State University Exotic Veterinary Club, the University of Wisconsin’s division of exotic medicine, the Association of Avian Veterinarians, Best Friends Animal Society, the Pet Professional Guild, the International Wildlife Rehabilitator’s Conference.

Feline Behavior Consultant, Gaitway Pain Screen and Movement Analysis Provider
With over 35 years of experience in animal behavior and veterinary care, Suzi Moore bridges the worlds of behavior and physical health. As a Licensed Veterinary Technician and Certified Behavior Consultant, she specializes in feline behavior consulting and in recognizing pain as an underlying cause of behavior change in pets. Her Gaitway Pain Screen and Movement Analysis service (administered by a DVM) uses video-based gait evaluation to help detect subtle mobility issues that may indicate discomfort—an often-missed factor in behavior concerns.
Suzi’s cat behavior consultations are conducted virtually to preserve the cat’s natural responses. Each begins with a guided home tour and leads to a personalized, positive reinforcement–based plan designed to restore harmony.
Through her combined expertise, Suzi empowers pet owners and veterinary professionals alike to better understand how pain, movement, and behavior are deeply connected.
